It is regarded as one of the \u2018tribes of the person centred nation\u2019. \u00a0It is also a research based therapy, with over 50 studies showing its effectiveness in helping clients to feel better about themselves and make constructive changes to their lives.<\/p>\n<p>This two day workshop will cover.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A definition of Focusing-oriented therapy and its roots in the person centred approach&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Research into how clients use therapy, from Kirtner and Cartwright, Gendlin and others, and the correlation between client experiencing levels, and therapeutic outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 How to\u00a0 spot successful clients and not get in their way<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Inviting clients to experience \u00a0deeper \/higher experiencing levels in all clients through offering reflective listening and deepening proposals<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Introduction to Guided Focusing, including focusing partnership skills, for self-development, and exploration of how Guided Focusing fits into FOT.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Integration of FOT into your counselling theory and practise, and access to further training and resources.<\/p>\n<p>On completion of this two day workshop, you may, if you feel ready to do so, enter onto the Focusing Partnership page of the British Focusing Association, ( formally known as BFTA)<\/p>\n<p><b>Dates:<\/b> 11<sup>th<\/sup>\/12<sup>th<\/sup> June 2016 \u00a0 10- 4.30<\/p>\n<p><b>Cost: <\/b>\u00a3140.00<\/p>\n<p>This includes my home made organic vegetable soup and bread for lunch on the Saturday<\/p>\n<p>About John Threadgold.<\/p>\n<p>John is BACP Accredited for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and holds an M.A.in Focusing and Experiential Psychotherapy.
