B.A (Hons) M.A. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"CENTER\">\u2018<span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The fragile flower of theory springs from the solid soil of experience \u2018 (Carl Rogers )<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Focusing-Oriented therapy was developed back in 1960\u2019s by Gene Gendlin a companion of Carl Rogers at the University of Chicago. FOT is part of the family of Person centred and experiential therapies. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Who is this workshop suitable for?<\/strong> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">This two-day workshop is suitable for any therapists, either trainee or experienced who have an interest in Focusing-Oriented Therapy. This course is also suitable for people who have already experienced previous Focusing or Focusing-Oriented therapy workshops either with myself or other focusing trainers. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">This workshop will help therapists explore Eugene Gendlin\u2019s Focusing-Oriented Therapy covering both theory and practise&#8230; Over the course of the two days we will. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Have a chance to share your experiences of Focusing \/ Focusing-Oriented therapy and ask for particular areas to be covered over the weekend. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Experience live demonstrations of Focusing-Oriented therapy. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Have a chance to practice FOT in triads or pairs. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Explore how FOT can be offered in different ways, including use of Art, and a demonstration of whole body focusing. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Explore how the experience of FOT illuminates and informs FOT theory<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">How to offer fundamentals of FOT in a safe way to clients<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">How focusing partnerships can help you with your personal and professional development. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">included a theory and practice booklet to accompany the workshop<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Get a list of FOT resources, including books, video\u2019s and web sites.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Date<\/strong> 6\/7th June<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cost<\/strong> \u00a3150<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pccsworkshops.co.uk\/?page_id=31\">Click here to book<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">More About John<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">My name is. John Threadgold, I run a private counselling and supervision practice in London called New Focus Therapy. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">I hold an MA in Focusing and Experiential Psychotherapy from the University of East Anglia and am recognised as a Focusing Teacher and Practitioner by the International Focusing Institute and the British Focusing Association. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">I am also a trauma therapist and qualified supervisor.
